Genesis

This book signifies “our beginning,” yet, despite its title, it does not mark the start of all things. We witness a portrait of perfection alongside the tree of life and death. We also experience the first marriage, wife, and mother. We observe the first sin, death, covenants, and the promises made by our Redeemer.

What starts in Genesis is elaborated upon throughout the Bible and ultimately realized in the Book of Revelation. This highlights the significance of Genesis in grasping the “first mention” of being a Woman of God and our heritage stemming from the wives of the Patriarchs. It also acknowledges our founding “Mothers” of the Hebrew nation. Although they may not have always made the right choices, the wisdom they imparted encourages us to aspire to be the best version as a Woman of God.

In these blogs, we will explore the various women in Genesis who faced challenges that resonate with our struggles and our victories even today.
